A Team of Passionate Adventures
Mike’s journey as a lifelong motorbike enthusiast and adventurer has shaped our company. Over the years, he travelled to Rwanda as a trustee for a charity using rugby to build community cohesion. During these visits, Mike fell in love with Rwanda’s landscapes and began dreaming of exploring the country more extensively.
His passion led him to discover the Congo Nile Trail, a stunning route along the shores of Lake Kivu. It was the perfect starting point for his exploration and, ultimately, for Riding Rwanda.
In 2023, Riding Rwanda’s story began when Mike and his son Joseph took an inaugural motorcycle trip along the Congo Nile Trail to assess its potential for a motorbike tour business. After returning to the UK, Mike worked to plan the first official adventure, leading a successful expedition in May 2024 with a team of nine. A follow-up tour in September helped refine the logistics, firmly establishing Riding Rwanda as a UK-based company offering epic motorcycle adventures across Rwanda and Central Africa.
